Get an Enterprise Phone System Without the Cost or Complexity

It’s no secret that small businesses have big communications needs. In today’s high-pressure world, a phone system is a lifeline to customers, suppliers and other key contacts. Like their larger competitors, small businesses need a phone system that’s powerful, flexible, reliable, scalable and manageable. But for small businesses, phone systems also need to be affordable to implement and maintain and hassle-free in all aspects.

Until recently, this type of sophisticated communications solution was available only to companies possessing the necessary financial resources to design and build a customized phone system. Today however, the Internet and cutting-edge technologies are driving down costs, lowering adoption barriers and opening new communication options, allowing businesses of all sizes to afford a world-class business phone system.

The Solution

The breakthrough that’s bringing affordable world-class phone and fax service to small businesses is the cloud-based, or hosted, phone system. It is the only business phone system that works the way today’s businesses work, by providing affordable, reliable and professional phone system functionality for businesses with one or more locations, and remote and mobile employees.

PremierePC is an official reseller of RingCentral hosted PBX solutions. RingCentral has been a leader in providing hosted phone service for small business. Even AT&T is a reseller and recently Cisco invested in RingCentral.

The advantages of RingCentral for small business are many. There are no contracts, multiple choices in phones, lower cost per line than regular phone systems and access. You are always able to stay connected, even if your phone or internet goes down.

Call now to have us evaluate your needs, calculate startup costs and demonstrate RingCentral’s feature rich products for you.

The Huge Untapped Potential of Q&A Content for SEO

Question and answer content has been around on the internet a lot longer than the web. From the early days of usenet (and before that, on prehistoric technologies that came before my time) people have been asking experts for answers. You can’t fail to have noticed, however, that it has resulted in some of the lowest quality content on the web. For far too many questions, the ranking answer is Yahoo! Answers (or similar) that looks as though it was written by someone who found writing YouTube comments too intellectually challenging:

Should I Turn My Computer Off at Night?

There are several reasons why it may be a good idea to turn off your computer at night. For some, it may not matter whether the computer is on or off. Most newer computers have a sleep mode when they are inactive which doesn’t use much power.  However, in businesses or at home, it may be wise to turn off the computer at night for security reasons.

Sleep mode on computers still uses some electricity, and the most economic thing to do is to turn off the computer at night, especially if you’re looking to reduce costs. Saving electricity also has environmental benefits. Older computers may not have the sleep feature and have less efficient power supplies, so you might want to turn them off to save money. Obviously, laptops, which run on a battery, will have a longer battery life if they are turned off when not in use.

For most the idea of saving money and reducing your environmental impact is high in the priority list, now PremierePC can help you achieve both.

How Much Can I Save?

For example, let’s say you mid-grade home or office workstation and an LCD monitor or two, and you leave them on 24/7.  That’s about 78 watts x 24 hours x 365 days/yr = 683,280 watt-hours, or 683.28 kilowatt-hours.

If you’re paying $0.20 per kWh, you’re paying $136.66 a year to run your computer. Multiply that by the number of computers you have in your office, you start to see why it is wise to turn you computers off.

For the average office which normally runs from 7AM to 7PM we can turn the systems down for  12 hours, reducing your energy costs by half or average savings of $68.33 per computer per year.

How We Can Help

The technology to turn your computer off automatically has been around awhile, but the technology to turn it back on and have it ready for you when you come into work, is something a little more recent.

For our ProSupport customers, we are able to not only monitor the health of your computers, but we can also power them down overnight and have them powered back on for you the next morning, thereby saving money by not having them running 24/7.

This is a value added service for our ProSupport clients that will cost nothing to use. An onsite visit may be required to set your system up to use this, but this will not count against your monthly onsite visit.

Results vary from client to client based and based on your hardware, but this service will reduce your energy consumption and save some of that hard earned dough.
